He has signed a three-year deal at the Allianz Arena, where he will try to help Bayern continue their dominance of the Bundesliga.
However, Mane leaves behind his attacking partner and close friend Salah, who is disappointed to see him go.
The Egyptian hero, who is currently on holiday, tweeted four photos of the couple together over the years, including one celebrating his FA Cup triumph last month.
He wrote: “It’s been quite a ride!
“Thank you for all the good times and I wish you all the best in your new adventure!
“We will all miss you.”
The pair enjoyed incredible success together at Anfield, with Salah joining Liverpool in 2017, a year after Mane’s move from Southampton.
In those five years they have won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, Club World Cup and Super Cup.

They also reached two more Champions League finals but were beaten by Real Madrid in 2018 and last month.
Mane is certainly leaving the Reds on good terms and showed his class by sending a message to his former manager and teammates.
In a farewell interview with Liverpool, the new Bayern ace said: “After both clubs have agreed [the transfer]I sent a long text message to say goodbye to everyone, which is normal.
“They were just as sad as I was, but it’s part of life. We just have to accept it.
“After every game I play in Munich, I will come into the dressing room and definitely watch Liverpool because I will always be Liverpool’s No. 1 fan.
“I just want to say good luck to them and keep an eye on them.”
