Liverpool fans are convinced Europa League Twitter admin is ‘Man Utd fan with an agenda’ after latest image

LIVERPOOL fans are convinced a “Manchester United fan with an agenda” is cryptically trolling them via Uefa’s Europa League Twitter account.

Despite reaching the Champions League final 13 months ago, the Reds will not feature in the top-flight competition this season.

Jurgen Klopp’s side could only finish fifth in the Premier League last season despite a late surprise.

And that means that the six-time European champion now has to take part in the second-placed Uefa club tournament.

Liverpool are set to take part in the Europa League and it seems the official Europa League Twitter account is thrilled to have them there.

For over a week they tweeted clips and snaps to promote this year’s edition and every day there was at least one mention, mention or tag from Liverpool.

And it hasn’t gone unnoticed by Red’s supporters — and they think they’re being trolled somehow.

The latest tweet was actually promoting the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, where England secured their place in tomorrow’s final against Spain.

However, they even managed to foist a link to Liverpool by posting a photo of Liverpool’s two Young Lions, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, celebrating.

The caption tagged Liverpool’s club account and included “#UEL” – and that was enough to convince Kopites that the admin was a Manchester United fan who was trolling their side.

One reply read: “We know the admin is a united fan. We don’t mind.”

Another wrote: “They don’t leave Liverpool alone.”

“Not again,” tweeted another Reds follower, while another added: “Now it’s getting boring.”

But supporters of other clubs have now become aware of the offer and think it’s great.

“The admin has an undying love for Liverpool,” declared one, while another begged her “to let her progress!”
