Lionel Messi reveals he’s ‘almost recovered’ from his battle with Covid as the PSG star shares snap of himself and Antonela at home

LIONEL MESSI says he has ‘almost recovered’ from Covid after sharing an intimate photo of himself with his wife Antonela.

The star of Paris Saint-Germain, 34 years old, is attack with coronavirus during the festive period.

Despite returning to Paris last week after testing negative, Messi missed Sunday’s draw at Lyon.

And on Thursday, ace revealed on Instagram that he’s ‘almost’ fully recovered, admitting that it’s taken him ‘longer than thought’ to be 100% healthy again.

The post included a photo showing Messi relaxing at home with his wife Antonela, 33, as the two enjoyed a South American herbal tea.

Messi’s message to fans: “Good afternoon. As you know, I had Covid and I want to thank you for all the messages I have received, and to tell you that it has taken me longer than I thought to get well.

“But I’m almost recovered and I’m really looking forward to getting back on the pitch.

“I’ve been training these days to put myself at 100%.

“Very good challenges are coming this year and I hope we can meet again very soon. Thanks.”

Messi has made 16 appearances for PSG so far since a free transfer from Barcelona last summer, scoring six goals in the process.

PSG have 11 points clear in the race to the Ligue 1 title.

And they will have a match against Real Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
