Lionel Messi completes sensational transfer to David Beckham’s Inter Miami after talks with Barcelona and Saudi Arabia

LIONEL MESSI has decided to join Inter Miami this summer after a failed return to Barcelona.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner will leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires at the end of June.
And Inter Miami have now confirmed his stunning move in a video on Twitter that included multiple reports about the transfer.
Messi himself said: “I received offers from other European clubs but I didn’t even consider those proposals because my only idea was to join Barcelona in Europe.”
“Since the Barca deal fell through, now I wanted to try something different in Miami.”
messi have been linked with a return to Barcelona in recent weeks but the club’s current financial situation makes it difficult for them to come up with a decent offer.
The forward’s father and agent Jorge held talks with Barcelona president Joan Laporta on Monday morning to discuss the possibility of a free transfer.
The 65-year-old even revealed his son was keen to return to the Nou camp.
However, Inter Miami’s offer appears to have been too good to turn down.
Spanish magazine SPORT reports that he will earn £43m a year, which translates to £830k a week.

Adidas – one of the league’s biggest corporate sponsors – has reportedly proposed a profit-sharing arrangement, meaning the forward will receive a cut of any profit increases stemming from his MLS involvement.
MLS and Apple have also considered offering Messi a share of the revenue generated by new subscribers to the MLS Season Pass, the league’s streaming package on Apple TV+.
On top of these commercial offers, MLS bosses are said to be ready to offer Messi the option to buy a percentage of any team in the league after his retirement.
Messi has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia following the announcement of his PSG exit.
However, he didn’t want to go head-to-head with his former rivals Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the Saudi Pro League.
