CHRISLEY DON’T KNOW BEST

Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty of tax fraud on June 7 after a grueling trial and sentenced to 30 years in prison.

According to insiders, Todd, 53, was convicted of, among other things, conspiracy to commit bank and tax fraud.

While Julie was also convicted of the same charges including wire fraud.

According to the report, the stars now face up to 30 years in prison.

Her sentencing date is currently unknown.

The chaos for the Chrisley Knows Best stars began when they reportedly turned into an FBI office in Atlanta hours after they were charged with federal tax evasion in August 2019.

Todd and Julie walked into the courtroom in handcuffs but walked out “vowing to fight,” Atlanta-based WBS reported at the time.

“We stand by our beliefs and we stand by what we know to be right. We are fortunate to have the advice we have and our family will stick together and we will walk this path knowing that the dear Lord will hold our hand and guide us through,” he said todd

The two pleaded not guilty to all charges and have maintained their innocence.

SHOCKING CLAIMS

The guilty verdict wasn’t the only outcome of the three-week trial.

Todd has been accused of having an affair with his partner Mark Braddock in the early 2000s – the man who helped him cheat and eventually warned the police.

The two allegedly teamed up to commit fraud by filing false bank reports and evading $2 million in taxes.

According to Business Insider, Todd and Mark had a personal falling out in 2012, long after their affair ended, when the TV personality locked Mark out of the office and threatened to have him arrested.

After the incident, Mark confessed that he had become vengeful and sent incriminating information about the Chrisleys to the government and news organizations to tip them off.

Todd’s attorney told the court the affair was a “fantasy” and blackmail on Mark’s part, Cinemablend reported.

CHRISLEY CANCELLED?

Despite her guilty verdict, fans are wondering if her USA Network show will air again.

Chrisley Knows Best will return with the second half of its ninth season as scheduled.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s scheduled to air on June 23.

The popular show has topped the charts as the network’s most-watched original series.

A week before the trial, parent company NBC Universal announced it would continue doing business with the disgraced family.

Sources also revealed that episodes airing this summer were filmed before the verdict.
