In a recent interview with Sports IllustratedLince Dorado says he chose to leave the company for creative reasons.

“Before I asked to be released, I remember telling [WWE] “If this is the best you have for us, it’s not enough,” Dorado said. All in all, and by the third year, I saw my glass ceiling — and I was determined to tear it down. “

Before Champion 24/7 added that the higher ranks considered him nothing more than a soul.

“They understood I was a luchador, but they didn’t understand the story or the motivation or the creative thought that became a luchador. All they see is, ‘This is just a guy in a mask who does amazing things.’ One of the things we tell Vince McMahon is that wrestling is, for us, the easy part.
