Likely to freeze on Saturday night

The coldest weather in more than a decade will affect Southwest Florida this weekend, with a possible freeze inland Saturday night.
A strong arctic front plowed through Southwest Florida last night, and behind it we’ll see plenty of sun with a peak in the 50s this afternoon. Winds will also blow north at 20-30 MPH, which will make it even colder.
Temperatures will drop from a cliff tonight, with lows in the 20s inland and 30s in the coast. With widespread freezing temperatures expected, it’s important that you protect your crops and pets, especially if you live on the inland side of I-75.
The good news is that if you don’t like the cold, we should see a quick kick-start next week as highs soar again in the mid-80s, however, the chance of rain returns by the end of the week.
