In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Liam opened up about his appearance on The View last week.

The star was there to promote his new film Marlowe, but much of the segment focused on presenter Joy Behar’s longtime crush on the actor.

Liam was even shown a montage of times Joy had mentioned him on the show, and he looked unsure how to react as he sat with his arms crossed and watched the clip.

Of the whole experience, he told Rolling Stone: “I go on stage and join the ladies at intermission and I congratulated them on this discussion.

“And then our segment starts and it’s just all this shit with Joy and Liam Neeson and having a crush and I’ve known Whoopi [Goldberg] Years and Joy a little but I just wasn’t impressed.”

He continued, “I’m uncomfortable in situations like this, you know?

“One of the ladies [Sunny Hostin]She’s a prosecutor and we had a little chat afterwards and it was a good intelligent chat but then the segment is all about this 13, 14 year old crush.”

“It’s just a little bit embarrassing,” Liam added.

The interview took place last week and revealed all the hosts were gushing about Liam – but no more than Joy.

Sunny told Liam: “She’ll believe anything you say because it’s no secret that Joy thinks you’re the hottest, the greatest of all time.

“And in case there was any doubt, we’ve got a couple of times that she’s approached you over the years…” Sunny added before a montage played.

In the clip, Joy could be heard making frequent references to Liam on various episodes of The View, even saying that she wanted her ashes to be sprinkled over him.

When the show returned to the studio, Joy gave a nervous laugh before asking the panel, “Am I blushing?” as Liam also looked quite uncomfortable.

“She just asked, ‘Am I blushing?’ Does he blush?” Ana Navarro blurted out.

To make the experience less awkward, Liam turned to Joy and joked, “Joy you got the checks right?”

Joy replied: “Sorry I’m speechless at this point… how embarrassing when they put them all together like that!”

She then singled out a producer on the talk show, exclaiming, “That was nasty, Brian! Embarrassing for me and Liam!”
