Levi Davis explodes as friend reveals mysterious activity on the X Factor star’s Instagram account months after his disappearance

A close friend of Levi Davis has revealed the missing X Factor star’s Instagram account was active months after his disappearance.
Chantelle Small knew Levi through his family, the two had bonded through music and they texted regularly.
Earlier this week we revealed that she and the rugby player were speaking to each other via Instagram in the early hours of the day he disappeared – around 1am UK time.
The 24-year-old aspiring singer and talented rugby player seemed to have a bright future when he disappeared on October 29 last year.
And now she has revealed that his social media account has been shown as “active” several times since his disappearance.
Chantelle says her boyfriend’s disappearance “makes no sense,” but she still lives in hope he’ll be found alive.
She told Sun Online, “I kept going online to his Instagram account and it kept saying ‘activated yesterday’ or ‘activated today’.”
“I have suggested to his family that they also find out who has access to it because it gives false hope.”
That’s what the 35-year-old said Raise questions about who has access to the account – Other friends also point out that contacts seem to have been deleted.
She added, “I hope it’s nothing and that there’s another lead and they find him.”
“I hope he’s still in Spain. I have read many articles. I try not to check every day because it’s too painful, but I hope he’s just in a safe place and hiding.
“Every now and then I’ll text him to see if my text is going through and say, ‘I hope you’re okay, you’re safe.’
“You have to have a little bit of hope. You have to try to believe that maybe he’s hiding, that’s the only possible way to think about it.”
Earlier this week, Spanish police launched a new search for Levi in two areas.
Divers are conducting underwater searches in the Catalan city’s busy port, and police officers are also searching the Llobregat Delta.
The wetlands are located near Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
And the area has never been mentioned in connection with Levi’s disappearance.
Levi was last seen leaving a bar in Barcelona on October 29.
His passport was found 20 days after he disappeared in the city’s busy port.
There is frustration at the progress of the investigation. Levi’s mother, Julie Davis, said the investigation had been “slow.”
The Spanish police’s leading theory is based on a report of a man matching Levi’s description being sighted in the water from a cruise ship at 6.30am on October 30.
His disappearance is a mystery – it’s unclear why he went to Barcelona after staying with a friend in Ibiza.
Investigators said they were looking into whether he may have drowned but were keeping other lines of investigation open, saying as early as February there were “troubling” elements in the case.
Chantelle told The Sun Online: “[Levi was] so full of life and so humble. Despite everything that has happened, he is so happy and always puts the others before himself.
“Even professionally, he gave 100% in everything he did.”
The two last chatted when he asked her for £50 to “get to his destination” and said he was unable to get hold of anyone in the early hours of the day he disappeared.
When she asked where he was and where he was going, Levi declined to answer, simply saying, “Don’t worry, I’ll sort it out.”
The messages are some of the last known contacts Levi had with his friends before he disappeared in Barcelona.
And although she told the family about the news, she was not approached by the police.
In a message shared with The Sun Online, Levi asked Chantelle: “I’m trying to reach a few friends but everyone is asleep, it’s necessary.” [£]50 to get to my destination and get paid on Monday but it’s ok if you can’t!! I’m going to call a few people, I already feel terribly asked about it.
Chantelle replied that she couldn’t afford it at the moment – and asked Levi where he was going.
“Ignore me, it’s all good!! And I literally travel around Europe taking care of my trip but don’t worry I’ll take care of it!! I’ll call you tomorrow and go over some music,” Levi replied.
The two agreed that they would speak on Sunday October 30th.
Chantelle, college student and radio producer, never heard from Levi again.
The Sun Online tried to retrace the star’s footsteps in Ibiza, where he was staying with boyfriend Richard Squire before traveling to Barcelona by ferry to “meet some friends”.
Exactly what happened to Levi remains a mystery – each development raises more questions than answers.
After arriving in the Spanish city, the rugby star never got in touch to confirm his arrival.
He was last seen at 10.05pm leaving the Old Irish Pub on the Rambla after ordering a pint while watching football on TV.
Levi played Premiership Rugby Union for Bath between 2017 and 2020 before joining Ealing Trailfinders. A year later he signed with the Worthing Raiders.

The rugby player-turned-reality star appeared on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019 alongside fellow rugby players Ben Foden and Thom Evans as part of the Try Star group.
In 2020 he appeared on the E4 dating series Celebs Go Virtual Dating and became the first rugby union player to come out as bisexual.
