Leicester are set to replace Chelsea-tied Wesley Fofana with Reims defender Wout Faes as the Foxes close in on a £17m transfer

LEICESTER have already reportedly found a replacement for Chelsea-bound Wesley Fofana in Reims defender Wout Faes.
Fofana is on the verge of sealing a £70m plus add-ons move to Stamford Bridge.

He has been sent to the United States by Chelsea to complete his medical as Blues owner Todd Boehly has concerns about the French ace’s injury record.
And if his medical treatment goes well, the French ace will be unveiled as a blues player before the transfer window closes.
But the foxes are already planning a life without Fofana, which they were initially reluctant to sell.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers insisted Fofana would stay despite the defense attorney’s repeated pleas to let him go.
However, Leicester and Rodgers relented when it became clear they needed the money to renew their depleted squad.
And the Mail claim that the first thing Leicester plan to do is sign Faes from Reims for £15million – a fraction of the fee they will receive for Fofana.
This will allow Rodgers to use the rest of the money to pad other areas of his roster.
Faes’ transfer to the Foxes should be complete soon as Leicester Mercury understand he has agreed a five-year deal with the Premier League side.

The 24-year-old is already in a relationship with Foxes star Youri Tielemans, with whom he played for five years at Anderlecht between 2012 and 2017.
Foxes fans can expect big things from Faes, who was named Reims’ player of the season after a solid 37 appearances last season.
