The loss of AJ means the super fight is planned with Tyson Fury that fans have been waiting for now suspended in balance.

But Bruno, who won his own world title on his fourth attempt, is backing Joshua, 32, to recover and thinks he will eventually fight his best friend Fury, 33.

He told SunSport: “This is not the end of the AJ story. In life sometimes you have to lose to win. I know that better than most.

“Anthony now needs to keep a classy head, work hard and come back.

“I think he still has fire in his stomach and he will want to prove a few people wrong by coming back stronger.

“If I can help in any way I want. He just calls me.

“AJ will also want to fight Tyson and prove he’s the best boxer in the world – but that part won’t be easy!”

AJ immediately called his right to an immediate rematch after losing the WBA, IBF and WBO titles in September.

He has been in America since then have the ability to follow new coaches to add to his team ahead of the rematch against Usyk.

After a shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr, 32, in June 2019, Joshua added coaches Joby Clayton and Angel Fernandez to his team.

And along with head coach Rob McCracken, they put in a box and move game plan for AJ to win the belt back.

But similar tactics proved his defeat against 34-year-old Usyk, so the former champion sought guidance elsewhere.

Joshua made a trip to the United States to consider adding a coach to his team to work alongside McCracken.

But no final decision has been made yet, although the likes of Fury have even offered his services to AJ.

Before Gypsy King flew out to face and then defeat Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas last month, Bruno spent a day with the WBC champion at a new center Fury is opening in Morecambe.

And when he returned, Fury was one of the first to call his friend to wish him well on turning 60.

Bruno said: “I received a video message from him.

“I think Tyson is relaxing and enjoying himself since he came back from the Wilder fight.

“But good luck to him, he deserves a break. But Tyson wouldn’t sit idly by for long. He doesn’t cut that way. “
