LEBRON James has left NBA fans in a frenzy after an interaction with former basketball player Gary Payton was shown on live television.
James, 38, walked off at halftime when the Los Angeles Lakers were eleven points behind the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals when the interaction occurred.
After smiling and walking off the seat, James made eye contact with former NBA player Payton.
The 54-year-old wore a white cap.
James stopped abruptly and bowed his head to listen to Payton’s words.
The viral interaction has received over a million views on twitter.
And the few seconds of conversation is all NBA fans would need to respond to.
One fan said: “I love how he made sure he heard him.”
Another said, “Warriors in 5.”
Others think it had to do with after the game.
One Twitter user commented, “Something, something, something… post game.”
Another said: “Come holla to me after the game.”
Former Lakers player Payton was on hand to observe his son Gary Payton II, who is a shooting guard for the Warriors.
In Golden State’s Game 1 loss, Payton II dipped against James in the third quarter.
In Game 2, LeBron had 21 points in the first half and would only score two points in the final two quarters of the game.
Los Angeles would lose 127-100 to the Warriors while star Klay Thompson took the lead with 30 points.
The series is now tied at 1 and Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday night at the Crypto.com Arena.
