Lautaro Martinez and Ollie Watkins transfer updates, Tierney ‘offers Cucho to leave’, Saliba LATEST

Morning Arsenal fans

Bukayo Saka should leave Arsenal if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, says former Spurs striker Garth Crooks.

Crooks, 63, wrote in his BBC column: “The reason the Gunners are still occupying the top four is largely due to Bukayo Saka’s brilliant form.

“The England international has developed a lot since he played in the European Championship and seems to be skimming the games these days.

“If Arsenal are not able to offer a young player a Champions League spot then I would advise him to look elsewhere. Talent like this shouldn’t be hanging around.”

In terms of reputation, it looks like Arsenal could finally sign Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto this summer.

The Gunners are said to be keen on signing the 30-year-old in the January transfer window.

It looks like the window will open again as Mundo Deportivo reports Roberto will leave the Nou Camp when his contract expires in the summer.

Some of the Gunners’ summer transfers could come from doing business with Marseille.

Arsenal are said to be asking the French club to pay £27m if they want to sign defender William Saliba on loan.

The 20-year-old made a temporary move last summer and has impressed in Ligue 1.

Discussions are underway and the Gunners want to recover the £27m Saint-Etienne paid him in 2019, according to L’Equipe.

And there were some funny scenes between Arsenal after Sunday’s game against Watford.

Gunners fan Ashley Day’s wig came loose as he celebrated Martin Odegaard’s opener in the 3-2 win!

Gunners fan George Bateman captured the embarrassing moment… and then shared it on Twitter.

Sporty good Ashley joked in good spirits, and has now vowed to use more glue to keep his scarf in place.
