KYLIAN MBAPPE jumped to the defense of Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Idrissa Gueye after he received abusive text messages for injuring the striker.
Gueye, 32, accidentally caught Mbappe’s leg during training and the Frenchman is now a suspect for the Champions League second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
But Gueye was later met with racist and hateful messages on social media.
His wife was also targeted with sick posts.
And Mbappe defended his team-mate with a post of his own as he insists there is no bad feeling between the pair.
Along with a photo of the two celebrating a goal, one Instagram story by Mbappe reads: “All together. Always. This is Paris.”
He also tagged Gueye in the post and placed a love heart emoji next to his name.
PSG entered the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 with a gentle lead against Real Madrid.
The Ligue 1 leaders secured a 1-0 win over the Spanish giants at the Parc des Princes thanks to Mbappe’s stoppage-time winner.
But the relationship between the two legs is still very balanced before the fierce clash at the Bernabeu.
PSG are looking for their first European championship and are hoping stars including Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi can push their limits.
Meanwhile, the top team in LaLiga, Madrid are looking for a record-long 14th European crown.
