KSI admitted he DELAYED a grudge match with Jake Paul after turning down a fight offer for mid-2023.
The YouTube, rap and crossover boxing star admitted he was motivated to get back in the ring to settle scores with Paul once and for all.
But KSI has claimed he will retire from boxing once he finally fights his American rival.
So he takes his time and tries to fit into as many fights as possible before signing off with a blockbuster against Paul.
KSI said, “I could fight Jake mid next year if I wanted to, I was definitely offered that, but I said ‘no’ because I’m enjoying it too much.
“I don’t know if that’s weird, I just didn’t expect to be so obsessed with being able to improve so much.
“I think I’m at a level where I can continue and go a lot further than I thought I could.
“It’s crazy, I never thought I’d ever be able to do 5K in less than 20 minutes and now I’m passing it, now it’s nothing.
“Knowing that I could just keep going, I think it’s just sick and I don’t want to end it anytime soon because I know by the time I fight Jake it’s over.
“I have no interest in doing anything else as far as boxing is concerned so I don’t know why I want to quit so soon, I’m just enjoying the journey too much.”

KSI, 29, beat Paul’s brother Logan, 27, when the two turned pro for their 2019 rematch after drawing a year earlier.
The former competitors became business partners after later launching the Prime beverage.
But no love is lost for younger brother Jake, 25, who is keen to even the family score.
The American is 6-0 himself and most recently defeated UFC legend Anderson Silva, 47, with the biggest win of his career.
Meanwhile, on Jan. 14, KSI returns against 2-0 MMA fighter Dillon Danis (29), commonly known as Conor McGregor’s training partner.
But he has confirmed talks are actively taking place with Paul’s camp over a fight next year.
KSI told SunSport, “We are working on negotiations.
“I don’t want to name the venue, but we’re looking at specific venues and yes, we’re talking.
“We’re talking now and it will be about a year before the fight happens.
“It’s going to be a while before it happens, but we’re making sure it actually happens.”
