AMID of a chaotic day in the NBA world, star Kristaps Porzingis was snapped relaxing in Latvia with his girlfriend Laura Vizla.
The 27-year-old former NBA All-Star center was transferred Wednesday night in a three-team swap.
After a proposed swap between Porzingis’ then-team Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics and LA Clippers fell through late Wednesday, it seemed like he was destined to go on a free transfer.
Yet just before midnight Eastern time, when he would have become a free agent had he opted out of signing his $36 million player option with ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski brought news of another trade.
This three-team deal traded the Clippers for the Memphis Grizzlies and resulted in the Wizards sending Porzingis to Boston.
The Celtics also got a first-round pick this year (25th overall) and one from Memphis next year when they sent 2022 NBA Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies.
The Wizards received the 35th pick overall, Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala of the Celtics and Tytus Jones of the Grizzlies.
Meanwhile, Porzingis was apparently relaxing with Vizla at Ventas Rumba, a waterfall in Kuldīga, Latvia – his home country.
She shared a video of him swimming with the caption “Summer in Latvia” on her Instagram story.
The couple went public with their relationship in September 2021 New York Post.
Vizla has recently been keeping her 38,000+ Instagram followers updated as she travels around Europe.
After initially returning to Latvia, she made her way to Marbella, Spain, followed by Corfu and the Paxos and Antipaxos Islands in Greece.
Vizla also recently posted a series of shots modeling for Jo Malone and Creme De La Creme Haute Parfumerie.
