AS THE summer months draw to a close, Americans across the country are gearing up for pumpkin spice season.

Krispy Kreme is among the first chains nationwide to announce their pumpkin spice food and drinks, leading many to wonder when they can hit stores.

When does Krispy Kreme’s pumpkin spice season start?

On August 5, 2022, Krispy Kreme made its official pumpkin spice season announcement.

“Sure, pumpkin spice is commonly associated with fall, but true fans of the flavor will agree that August is close enough,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, in a statement about Delish.

This year, the popular season arrives early, officially kicking off August 8, 2022 in stores across the country.

“We’re pulling fall forward and allowing our guests to indulge and indulge early with delicious Pumpkin Spice Donuts and beverages, including our Pumpkin Spice Latte, which you can get iced or frozen, by the way,” continued Skena.

Delish notes that the start of Krispy Kreme’s pumpkin spice season is “a few days” ahead of Dunkin’ and Starbucks, which are some of its biggest competitors.

What’s on the Krispy Kreme Pumpkin Spice Menu?

This season, consumers across the country will see the return of fan favorites.

Recurring menu items on Krispy Kreme’s pumpkin spice menu include Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Donut, and Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Cheesecake Donut.

Pumpkin Spice fans can also enjoy new editions like the Pumpkin Spice Latte Swirl Donut and the Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee.

The new donut flavor puts a new twist on the classic flavor by adding a swirl of vanilla and coffee buttercream and notes of delish.

Who founded Krispy Kreme?

The popular donut company and coffeehouse chain has been serving guests since 1937.

It was originally founded by Vernon Rudolph after he bought a secret donut recipe from a French New Orleans chef.

Since then, the chain has expanded and opened over 1,400 locations worldwide.

As of June 2022, the donut shop operates in 31 countries including Germany, France, UK, Russia and Portugal.
