Burnley transfer news has become a frequently searched term on Google and there has now been an update with the Clarets.
What’s the matter?
Well, Burnley are now in advanced talks to sign Lyle Foster from Westerlo – according to Sacha Tavolieri.
The Belgian journalist believes Vincent Kompany is in a good position to sign the South Africa international, with Westerlo reportedly positive about the €7m (£6m) fee and open to a sale.

Foster has had an impressive season so far, scoring eight goals and also providing three assists in 20 Jupiler Pro League games this season.
For just £6m Burnley could get their hands on an excellent striker and fans should be heartened by the striking performances of those Kompany have already signed from his native Belgium such as B. Manuel Benson.
Burnley Transfer News – Foster 2017 praised
In 2017, Foster was actually named in the Guardian’s Next Generation feature, which profiled the top 60 youngsters in the world at the time.
The likes of Vinicius Junior – now at Real Madrid – and Erling Haaland were also among the 60 prospects involved in the article, which speaks volumes about how important Foster could become for Burnley.
Joe Crann wrote: “His movement and eye for goals has seen him attract interest from Germany and his height sets him apart from many South African players. His current coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, called him a “special talent” that needs to be encouraged.”
Of course, the South African hasn’t reached the heights of Vinicius and Haaland, but at just 22 years old it seems he has more gear to shift into.
