Klopp tells Liverpool stars to ‘defend the shit out of everything’ in X-rated blast as he admits they were ‘RUBBISH’

JURGEN KLOPP has condemned Liverpool’s shocking start to the season and admitted his team were GARBAGE.

And the Reds boss has told the stars they need to start “defending the shit out of everything”.

Klopp, who celebrated seven years in office on Sunday, raged: “We need consistency to get the garbage out of everything.

“We have to get back to where we excelled.

“We have to defend ourselves against everything – that’s why I say the word ‘garbage’.”

Klopp went for his throat as he blew up his Liverpool stars ahead of Sunday’s clash with leaders Arsenal.

A defeat would leave the Reds 14 POINTS behind the Gunners.

The Kop boss added: “We have to find a way and we are still in the process of doing that. You want a solution and you want it to click mentally.

“We need to see through the tunnel and see the light again, and I’d be optimistic about that.”

And in support of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has come under fire, the German said: “We have to be brave with the way we defend – we jump with our full-backs to the opposing full-backs.

“People say we can’t defend like that, but we did it for 200 games. It is always clear that there is no system in the world without weaknesses.”

Klopp, who abandoned his preferred 4-3-3 formation for a new 4-2-3-1 system for the 2-0 midweek Champions League win over Rangers, added: “Sometimes you have to take a step back and commit to a common plan.”
