‘King Richard”s son breaks silence on his father’s ‘violent past’ and slams Will Smith for saying he was slapped in the face

‘KING Richard’s’ son has defended his father’s alleged ‘violent past’ and slammed Will Smith for saying he was in the role when he beat Chris Rock at the Oscars.
The Hollywood star, who won a gold statue for Best Actor for his portrayal of the controversial father of Serena and Venus, was banned for a decade after meeting the comedian on stage.

Although Richard, 80, told The US Sun he would never criticize the actor and praised his role in the film, his son was not impressed by the star’s comments after the attack.
Choosing not to leave the ceremony despite alleged requests, Will later accepted his award and was visibly upset as tears rolled down his cheeks.
He told the audience: “Art imitates life. I look like the crazy dad just like they said. I look like the crazy dad, just like they said about Richard Williams. But love will make you do crazy things.”
Chavoita shook his head and told The US Sun: “My father is not a violent man unless someone comes at him aggressively.

“I don’t know if my father holds grudges against anyone, and my father will always take the main road. That’s something I admire about my father.
“I think Chris Rock’s feelings matter more than mine when it comes to Will being banned for being humiliated on the show.
“What Chris Rock did was not a threat, he is a comedian and gets paid to tell jokes. It was a very dry joke.
“Hopefully Chris and Will can get back together and who knows, maybe later they’ll do a movie together and make a lot of money.”
Richard was also suspected of breaking his second wife Orecene’s ribs, but she allegedly protected him to keep her daughters from embarrassment.
A police report previously obtained by The US Sun from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in Florida detailed the alleged bust between Richard and his then-wife Serena and Venus’ mother.
Police were called at 2:34 p.m. on February 7, 1999, and Officer Larry Enstrom gave a detailed account of meeting Richard’s wife at Columbia Hospital, where she was being treated.
“Upon arrival, I contacted hospital staff who said a black woman named Oracene Williams had brought herself to the emergency room for what is believed to be a battery,” he wrote in the report.
POLICE INCIDENT
“I spoke to Ms. Williams and encountered passive resistance to all the questions I asked. Ms. Williams has stated that she does not wish to report any information to the police and has not asked them to.”
Officer Enstrom said hospital staff claimed Ms Williams originally stated that a door handle hit her, but her injuries were “inconsistent with a door handle hitting someone in that part of the body.”
Enstrom was told that the only other person living at the property aside from the mother and her two daughters was Richard Williams, but Serena and Venus said they didn’t believe he was home at the time.
“I spoke to Ms. Williams again and urged her to be open with me about what happened. Ms. Williams said to me, ‘I know you know what happened, but I’m scared for my daughters’ careers,'” he wrote in the bombshell.
When asked about the old police report, his son Chavoita, 49, said he didn’t think his father would hurt anyone, while his father refused to speak about the past.
“I heard the story a few years ago that my father was violent in some way,” he told The US Sun.
“I don’t know in which direction or whatever because I can’t talk about it. I have never seen my father violently attack anyone.
“I don’t see it as if my father was a violent person at all and all he talks about is how people should be loved.
“Well, my father is strict, my father is direct, my father is forward. But I think we should all be like that. People should know that they have limits when it comes to you.
“He knows who he is and if my father feels he has offended anyone he will call that person and apologize to them. I saw him do that.”
FIRST FAMILY
He said he would never slap anyone in the face for insulting their wife or partner like Will Smith did, but would defend his family if he believed there was a real threat.
Meanwhile, Serena and Venus’ half-sister, Sabrina Williams, has been beating up her estranged father, who she says was portrayed as a saint in the biopic.
She claimed that he left his first family and did not reconcile with them.
Chavoita says his father doesn’t want to talk about his first marriage, but he would likely welcome any of his children with open arms if they contacted him.
Although he says his failing health after three strokes makes him find communication difficult and it may not be in their best interests to meet again.
When asked directly about Sabrina, Richard appeared confused but understood that she is the daughter of his first wife Betty and said he would be happy to keep in touch.
Richard married Sabrina’s late mother Betty Johnson in Los Angeles in the early 1960s and they had four other children together – Richard III, Ronner, Reluss and Reneeka, 49.
But when Sabrina was just eight, Richard reportedly left his wife and five children – and told the little girl he would buy her a bike but never returned.
Richard then married Oracene, the mother of Serena and Venus, in 1980 but they divorced in 2002.

He is now going through his third divorce after marrying his much younger wife, Lakeisha Graham.
During their lengthy court case, which has lasted for six years, he has accused them of cashing his security checks and stealing his home and vehicles.
