KIM Kardashian has been slammed for throwing a “lavish” Minions party for her four kids at her $60 million LA mansion.
The reality star, 41, threw a party with hundreds of balloons, a pinata, a foosball table and dancing rollerbladers to celebrate the release of Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Kim and her sister Khloe shared endless videos and photos of the colorful party on their Instagram Stories on Sunday.
The SKIMS founder decorated her lounge with a giant arch of yellow, pink, red and blue balloons with rainbow-style tassels hanging down.
There was a tiered Minion cake and treats, as well as Minion-themed slime stations and coloring stations for the kids outside.
Under glittering disco lights, guests could hang out on the huge stage, where dancers in 70s costumes inline skated to disco music.
Kim also displayed a giant pinata hung outside and danced Minions characters who mingled with the guests.
Khloe attended with her four-year-old daughter True, and Kim’s sisters Kourtney and Kendall also made an appearance.
Critics flooded Reddit with their outrage at the amount of trash the party creates.
One wrote: “This is beyond exaggeration. The amount of ballooning this family goes through for a few photos makes my head spin.”
Another added, “The amount of waste they produce is insane, hundreds of gallons for just one event.”
A third agreed, posting: “I would give my left leg to know [Kim’s] carbon footprint.”
This isn’t the first time the Kardashian-Jenner clan has been called out for their “lavish” celebrations.
Back in April, family matriarch Kris Jenner faced backlash for hosting an “over-the-top” Easter candy display.
The Kardashians celebrated Easter at Kris’ $12 million Palm Springs home, and fans couldn’t believe how many desserts were on the table.
Kris featured individual gumball machines for each of her grandchildren and dozens of cupcakes, cookies and cakes.
Critics complained that many of the sweets were thrown away and questioned how the family dealt with the leftovers.
Last year, Khloe came under fire for using hundreds of plastic balloons for her parties and increasing carbon emissions by traveling by private jet.
A 2019 study found that private jet passengers emit 10 times more greenhouse gases than business travelers and 150 times more than people using trains.
In April 2021, Khloe shared photos from True’s third birthday party, where Kylie Jenner’s house was decorated with tons of plastic balloons.
The balloons, of various sizes, shapes and colors, filled the entryway and stairs of Kylie’s house and surrounded the tables and bouncy castle outside.
Her environmentally conscious critics slammed her for making so much “junk” at a party.
