On Monday’s episode, the host asked Kim, 42, how she is coping with raising her four children – North, nine; saint, seven; Chicago, five; and Psalm, four, which she shares with her ex-husband Kanye West, 45 – in the public eye.

“I think they grew up with the cameras, and they grew up realizing that since we were babies we were going out and there were paparazzi, so it’s not really something that they appreciate very much,” the Hulu personality explained.

Kim’s children grew up in front of the camera, appearing in episodes of the family’s former E! series. Series Keeping Up With the Kardashians and its new spin-off The Kardashians.

They are also frequently featured on the model’s social media pages, with North even having an active presence on TikTok.

Despite how lavish the youngster’s life appears on screen, Kim claims things are very different behind the scenes.

“But you know, my daughter is really vocal. She tells them when not to have them around and to leave them alone and stop, and I love that they use their little voices, but they also have something so normal about life and a whole different one Living apart from it,” the TV star claimed.

“Let the child be a child”

Kim’s comments came after she was criticized by fans for “forcing” North to attend late-night events.

It happened earlier this month when North was spotted courtside with her mother at a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game.

The duo attended the event to support Khloe Kardashian’s baby daddy Tristan Thompson, who was playing the game.

However, North didn’t seem thrilled to be there and was photographed exhausted and bored.

Fans were horrified when they discussed an online thread about the little girl not being there after her normal bedtime.

“The bags under her eyes are so sad. She’s only 9,” one wrote.

“Just came here to say the exact same thing, so sad,” agreed a second.

A third remarked, “She’s tired and over having to do this crap but her mum probably promises her stuff if she plays along.”

“Let the child be a child. All the money in the world, every luxury a child could want or need, and they can’t even just stay at home and play in their yard or watch TV with their siblings. What a king.” “Tragedy,” a fourth grumbled.

“She’s tired of being her mom’s companion every time Kim wants to go somewhere,” said a fifth.

“She’s 9. She should be in bed,” agreed one finalist.

NEGATIVE PRESSURE

Days later, sources claimed Kim was “putting pressure” on her daughter to get into the spotlight.

“North is Kim’s firstborn. She’s always had hopes for her, but the pressure she’s putting on her, which may be unintentional, is real,” a source revealed In contact.

“Kim really thinks she’s helping her daughter.”

The beauty mogul has been frequently photographed with her eldest child lately, as the teen is a regular at fashion events and even accompanied her mother to the Met Gala earlier this month.

However, Kim’s own lust for fame seems to have spilled over to North, who also has big dreams of becoming famous.

“North wants to be a big star, she says she wants to be bigger and more famous than her parents. That’s a tremendous amount of pressure to put on a young child,” the source said.

Their shared ambition seems to motivate Kim even more to further her daughter’s career, and she’s on the right track.

“If Kim had his way, North would already have her own reality show, clothing line and established brand,” the insider continued.

“It’s not that far away though, it’s all part of the master plan. It’s all about being in the spotlight and staying relevant. That’s the Kardashian rulebook — fame is the be-all and end-all.”
