Eve noticed bloody clothes strewn across the floor (from Villanelle’s most recent murder), but didn’t allow herself to ask further: “Actually, never mind.” Villanelle eagerly reconnected, asking with a smile: “Are you going to slap me again?” (Hmmm… something tells us Villanelle likes it.) But Eve is due to play the game: She says no and lets go of her previous obsession, goes about her day and just asks, “What is it this time?”
