A MURDERER who murdered schoolgirl Danielle Jones is suing for freedom despite never revealing the whereabouts of her body.
Stuart Campbell, 64, could be free within months after the murder of his 15-year-old niece in 2001.
But his brother Alix Sharkey insisted he should never be released until he reveals where the body is.
He told the parole board: “Your parents went through hell on earth. They never had a closure.
“My brother didn’t even give them their daughter to have a place to mourn.”
And he urged Campbell to “stop being a monster,” the Mirror reported, adding, “Why don’t you act like a human?
“Even murderers can say ‘I’m sorry’.”
Danielle’s parents, Linda and Tony, urged Campbell last year to reveal where he hid the body.
Linda said she hoped Campbell would “do the right thing and allow us to put our beloved daughter to rest.”
Essex Police said: “Danielle never left the minds of all of us.”
They never saw her again after she rode the bus to school in Tilbury, Essex in June 2001.
Last year, Sharkey revealed the moment he knew his brother had kidnapped and murdered the schoolgirl, saying, “He couldn’t look me in the eye.”
The parole board confirmed that Campbell’s review “followed standard processes,” adding, “Public safety is our top priority.”
Campbell married into the Jones family and fostered Danielle for months.
He was jailed for four years at the age of 18 for robbing a young girl and was convicted in 1989 for keeping a 14-year-old girl in his home.
More than 1,500 locations were searched for Danielle.
