Kieran Trippier ‘Newcastle’s No. 1 transfer target’ in January as Eddie Howe closes eyes on reunion to avoid Prem relegation

KIERAN TRIPPIER is believed to be Newcastle’s No. 1 transfer target in January.
The Telegraph claim Eddie Howe is keen to reunite with the former Burnley player this winter as Newcastle are looking to beat.
Mega-rich Toon is three points away from safety after winning only once this period.
And Atletico Madrid star Trippier, 31, is considered the ideal signing to lead Newcastle back up.
The England right-back has spoken to Howe despite being treated for a shoulder injury.
Trippier’s current contract with Atletico is set to expire at the end of the season, although a one-year extension will be in place when he starts 20 games.
The former Tottenham player is tipped to potentially return to the Premier League after seeing his summer move to Manchester United fall apart.
Atletico are demanding £25m for their title-winning full-back after Euro 2020.

But Newcastle may be able to get Trippier for a lower price with his contract coming to an end.
The Magpies are also hoping to land highly regarded Lille midfielder Sven Botman.
He helped the club in the last 16 of the Champions League win France in May.
And there are other Euro giants hoping to land him when the January market opens.
