Kid Cudi is directing, starring and writing the screenplay for the feature film Teddy for Netflix

Scott Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, will soon make his Netflix directorial debut with the film teddy. He also wrote the screenplay and will star in the project. On Tuesday, the actor shared a social media post to announce the news and let his fans know that Teddy is a project he’s incredibly passionate about, having been working on it since 2013.

According to his post, the film will be like the theatrical version of his 2009 song “Pursuit of Happiness,” except he also “added a lot [his] own personal struggles and experiences in them, so this film is very close [his] Heart.”
