The Hulu star shared a lengthy Instagram message to celebrate Scott’s 40th birthday, but fans saw more behind the tribute.

Khloe has shared various photos of her sister Kourtney’s ex-partner along with a caption proclaiming their love.
The 38-year-old began her caption: “Happy birthday @letthelordbewithyou!!
“When I was looking for photos to post on your birthday, it took me down memory lane…man we’ve really been through so much together! You were there from the start. From the slap in the face to loving you.”
She described some of their time together, while her photo choices captured moments from their years together and on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The reality TV star continued, “Scott, I love you and I’m so grateful to have you in my life. You and I started rocky but I’m so proud of it because we overcame so much and it’s only made us closer and stronger.
“You really are one of the funniest people I know. You’re smart, funny, caring, you’re the best dad and I’m honored to be at the forefront of your life’s journey.”
“I can’t wait to see where life takes you. I know there’s so much more to come. I’m honored to be able to be right by your side on one of the greatest shows on earth, and that’s life. Happy Birthday to my prank partner for life, I love you!!”
Khloe concluded: “Have a wonderful day [heart].”
MORE THAN FRIENDS?
In the comments section, many Kardashian-Jenner fans were quick to speculate about Khloe and Scott’s relationship, with some expressing hope that the duo would end up dating.
“No one can convince me that these two weren’t meant to be together, but I understand that given the family ties, it would be too strange,” one person said.
A second agreed: “Your true soulmate, honestly.”
A third exclaimed: “Aside from all the history they know of each other, I honestly wish Khloe and Scott could end up together!”
“They share such a bond that would lead to a great relationship!”
One critic seemed less than impressed with the dynamic, saying, “Yeah, that relationship has always been weird… and almost inappropriate…”
KOURTS EX
Scott and Kourtney share three children from their time together.
The duo split in 2015 after nine years together, during which both stars have moved on.
Kourtney and Travis Barker wed last May after an unofficial ceremony in Las Vegas in April.
From the marriage, she also became a stepmother to two other children: Alabama, 17; and Landon, 19.
KHLOES FIGHTS
Khloe and on-and-off Tristan Thompson share two children: daughter True, five; and a son, Tatum Robert, whose name was exclusively revealed by The US Sun earlier this month.
The basketball star is yet to meet his other one-year-old son, Theo, who was conceived with Maralee Nichols while he was still dating Khloe.
Maralee’s name first caught media attention surrounding the birth of her son when it was revealed that Tristan was having an affair with the fitness model.
Tristan issued a public apology to Khloe after paternity results confirmed he was the father.
