The body of a missing Sacramento woman was found Sunday morning, according to authorities.
Kerina Blue, 26, was found near the Green Valley Trail in Atla, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to police, the woman’s cause of death does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
The sheriff’s office dispatch center received an early call on March 12 from Sacramento Police Department on Blue’s disappearance.
A medical condition that puts a woman at risk. Her last known location was along the Green Valley Trail on Friday afternoon.
According to the authorities, the terrain of the trail is dangerous, with dense forests and bushes.
The Placer and Nevada sheriff’s offices were dispatching 80 search and rescue personnel, K9s and helicopters to search for Blue through Saturday night.
The search continued early Sunday morning.
Blue’s friends and family posted about the grim find on Facebook.
Brian Egan wrote on Facebook: “With a heavy heart, I regret to say that I hope Kerina’s memory will be a blessing.”
“I will delete this post at the end of the day to make room for mourning. I will miss you, Blue.”
