Kepa is “evolving as Tuchel’s Bayern No1 target on a loan transfer” despite falling out of favor with Chelsea manager

BAYERN MUNICH are reportedly trying to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are keen to sign a new goalkeeper to replace Manuel Neuer.
The Bayern star remains out injured after suffering a setback returning to training after breaking a leg last year.
Yann Sommer was signed as a deputy in January but has since been allowed to join Inter Milan as a replacement for Andre Onana, who moved to Manchester United.
Bayern initially showed interest in Brentford stopper David Raya but lost the Spaniard to Arsenal.
According to the Sky Germany reporter Florian PlettenbergKepa has now become Bayern’s No. 1 target.
He adds that the Bundesliga champions are working on an initial loan deal for the Spaniard, which will ‘probably’ include an option to buy.
Should a deal for Kepa fall through, Bayern could fall back on Argentina’s Ajax goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli.
German branch sports1 claim that Tuchel personally recommended Kepa to the Bayern hierarchy – despite having preferred Edouard Mendy during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Kepa had to watch from the bench as Mendy’s performances helped Chelsea win the Champions League in 2021.

And the 28-year-old made just four Premier League appearances during Tuchel’s entire 2021/22 season as manager of the Blues.
Kepa started behind Mendy under Tuchel in the Premier League last season but started as a coach in the German’s last game – a 1-0 Champions League defeat at Dinamo Zagreb.
He then retained his No. 1 spot under Graham Potter and Frank Lampard.
However, his position is once again in jeopardy as Chelsea have signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton.
The Blues last week confirmed the acquisition of Sanchez in a £25m deal from the Seagulls.
