Kelly Ripa provides an exciting update on Ryan Seacrest’s future just months after his live talk show exit

KELLY Ripa has announced a reunion with Ryan Seacrest.
The live host updated fans on her former co-host’s future.
On Friday’s show, Kelly revealed that Ryan would be back live soon.
After a commercial break, the 52-year-old jokingly turned to the audience and announced: “Listen, listen. A newcomer to the scene will join us on Monday’s show.”
“His name is Ryan Seacrest.”
As the audience erupted in applause, Kelly’s husband, Mark Consuelos, grinned.

WELCOME BACK
Ryan’s last day as host was in April – Mark took over for him shortly afterwards.
But he didn’t stay away long.
The famous radio DJ returned just two months later to fill in for her absent husband.
Fans warmly welcomed Ryan for his return on a partial new episode of Live.

The show featured a pre-recorded but new opening segment in which Kelly and Ryan chatted before conducting their trivia game with a fan caller.
The show then switched to previously aired interviews with Chris Hemsworth and Tyra Banks from old live episodes.
The hosting duo ended the episode with a new pre-recorded outro to bid farewell to viewers and remind them to tune in for the next episode on Wednesday.
Despite the thrown together show, fans were happy to have Ryan back at the hosting desk.
One excited viewer wrote at the time: “I’m excited to see Ryan on the show. And the little things aren’t just about Mark!”
WHO’S NEXT?
Kelly could soon join Ryan as a former live co-host.
Chatting with purist Magazine, she was asked to explain how she manages “one of the most challenging and daunting jobs” of hosting a live show while being risk-averse, as she mentions in her memoir.
Kelly admitted: “I think my risk aversion is probably why I stayed in the same job for so long.
“There are other offers coming, but I like to stick with what I know.
“I am very steadfast in everything I do, and if you have me, you have me for life.”
The TV personality then added that this doesn’t mean fans will see her as host of her talk show – which in the latest edition is titled “Live with Kelly and Mark” – forever.
She revealed: “Still, I don’t plan on working in this job for the rest of my life.
“I talk about retirement with great interest, but at the moment I am very happy, especially working with Mark.”
