Kelly Ripa is furious after producer threw an object at her in the live moment as Ryan Seacrest hints this won’t be a fun meetup

KELLY Ripa has shown live viewers her angry side after a producer threw her a mic for Kal Penn to perform a song.

Comedian Kal Penn guest-starred on Live alongside Kelly and Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday’s episode.

He had visited her to talk about the upcoming Schoolhouse Rock! Sing along to the 50th anniversary.

During one segment, Kelly asked if Kal might want to act as a cast member.

Ryan followed suit, urging the star to open up about his desires.

He said he wanted to play the King in Hamilton on Broadway, so the two invited him to “audit” while it was on the air live.

“Gelman, bring us the mic,” Kelly said as she walked forward.

Producer Gelman instead threw the mic, and Ryan stepped in front of Kelly to try to protect her from possible injury.

Kelly stepped forward and pantomimed karate moves for Gelman while Ryan started wagging his finger at the camera.

“This isn’t going to be a fun meeting after the show,” he sneered before sitting down.

Kal showed off his singing skills for a moment before Kelly picked up the mic and pointed it back at Gelman.

“I liked that neither of you got hurt,” Kal joked.

Kelly shot back, “During meetings, we actually use steak knives.”

‘TOO MUCH OF?’

Meanwhile, Kelly dropped an NSFW comment on live television.

She shaded her peers’ “sensitive sensibilities” as she discussed her thong on the air.

On Tuesday’s show, Kelly and Ryan first discussed National Plan Your Vacation Day.

After discussing where they want to go, Kelly said, “It’s not just National Plan Your Vacation Day, Ryan.”

“What an embarrassment of wealth. Is it something else?” asked Ryan.

“Today is National Backwards Day,” she said.

“Something we’ve been celebrating here for decades,” Kelly looked straight at the camera with a serious expression.

However, Ryan and the crew laughed.

“Today is National Backwards Day. How is that? What are you doing?” Ryan wondered.

“It encourages us to do everything differently,” Kelly let him know.

Ryan then said, “Well, I could wear that backwards,” referring to his suit.

“I’m wearing this backwards,” Kelly joked about her dress.

“Historically, my bra is always on backwards.”

The crew laughed as Ryan said, “But you knew that.”

Kelly then dropped an NSFW comment saying, “So, is my thong but that just feels weird.”

The crew groaned and Kelly sat up and said: “Oh is that too much for your delicate sensibilities? Oh okay.”

“Art also wears his thong backwards,” she said of one of the crew members. “He’s just mad that I’m talking about it.”

Art laughed and then the live presenters moved on to another topic.

Silence the host

Before dropping her NSFW comment, Kelly silenced Ryan during a previous conversation.

The 52-year-old actress has asked her co-host to end the discussion until they are “off camera”.

During Thursday’s Live with Kelly and Ryan show, the presenters continued their Best Me in ’23 series with an interview with financial expert Anthony O’Neal.

The guest led a discussion about not only building wealth, but also making sure you leave a legacy.

One of the main points of the conversation was getting life insurance and determining which option would work best for each individual.

This led to a conversation about making sure one’s children and partner are cared for as well as possible after a death.

After hearing a little about it, Kelly asked, “When it comes to dividing your fortune among loved ones, do you advocate splitting it evenly or do you play the favourites?”

Anthony shared that he wants to make sure his “family, loved ones and charities” are taken care of.

Ryan then reached out to Kelly to quiz her on the matter, asking, “Have you prioritized your kids?”

She quickly shut him down, warning, “Uh…this is an off-camera discussion.”

Kelly and her husband Mark Consuelos share three children: daughter Lola, 21, and sons Michael, 25, and Joaquin, 19.

While the actress this time decided to remain silent about her family affairs until she was off the air, she’s usually very open about her personal life.
