Kelly and Ryan had chatted with Maria about her marriage to Kevin Undergaro during the segment.
Maria was praising Kevin when suddenly there was a loud bang behind her.
The presenter looked to the side and exclaimed, “Ooh!” before jokingly declaring, “Grandpa! Opppaaaaa!”
Kelly jumped out of her seat and laughed nervously before clapping her hands and laughing at Maria’s reaction.

She quickly summed it up, joking, “You know, if the camera crashes, that means it’s true,” referencing Maria’s compliments on Kevin.
Ryan then quipped, “They’re just trying to make you laugh,” alluding to Maria’s characteristic loud laugh.
Maria kept talking, but it looked like the chaos wasn’t over yet as several quieter crackles were heard during their conversation – which the trio ignored.
Meanwhile, Kelly appears to have made a full recovery after being struck by illness last month.

She left viewers worried earlier this month when she co-hosted the show despite being ill and barely able to speak.
One disgruntled fan tweeted at the time: “They made Kelly Ripa work while she sounds like Christian Bale’s Batman….”
Another commented, “Who made Kelly Ripa go on air and sound like a chain smoker?”
KELLY’S DISEASE
She returned to the morning show after taking several days off while feeling ill.
Kelly was honest about being uncomfortable and having to have a throat lozenge in her mouth for most of an episode and barely speaking during an episode the next day.
She said, “Here’s the thing. Last week, the better I felt, the worse I sounded.
“So, [producer Michael] Gelman said, ‘You have to go, you’re a talk show host and you don’t have a voice, there’s no point you being here.'”
The TV personality said it felt like having a snowy day with no snow because she was feeling “fine” but just “didn’t have a voice.”
While the presenter is feeling better now, she recently joked about taking a “sabbatical.”
TAKING A BREAK?
Kelly spoke of taking a break while joking that she wanted to join Madonna as a backup dancer on the pop icon’s highly anticipated upcoming tour.
“I’m going to need some time off,” the actress demanded.
Kelly then announced that Madonna was looking for supermodels and dancers between the ages of 50 and 90.
She joked: “At this point I’m hoping to retire. If I still do it, you all have an obligation, ok?”
Ryan added: “Pull it. Just put on the show.”
Kelly continued, “You must be a good friend.”
Ryan then asked his co-host, “How are you going to make that decision to be a supermodel or a backup dancer for Madonna’s show?”

Kelly replied: “Am I going on tour with Madonna? Either way, I’m going to need a sabbatical.”
Ryan added: “Either way time off required and free soon please.”
