Kell Brook, 36, ready to return and “desperate” to fight winner Chris Eubank Jr. against Liam Smith, and will be ringside

KELL BROOK will be ringside to watch Chris Eubank Jr fight Liam Smith – because he is “desperate” for the winner.
Brook went to the lead after stopping longtime rival Amir Khan in six laps last February.

But the former IBF welterweight champion is struggling to avoid the temptation of a comeback.
Brooks’ intrigue will take him to Manchester on Saturday, the scene of his retirement battle.
Promoter Ben Shalom told Sky Sports: “Kell will be there on Saturday.
“He’s desperately looking for the winner of this fight. He wanted the Eubank fight after the Khan fight.
“He feels like he wants the winner of this fight, whether that’s Liam Smith or whether that’s Eubank Jr.
“There is a rematch clause so if Liam wins, Eubank has the option.
“But there will be tremendous struggles over whoever is the winner. Big nights and Kell Brook definitely wants to be one of them.”
Brook, 36, held talks to tackle Eubank after stopping rival Khan, 36, but it came to nothing.

Eubank, 33, instead went on to have a mega fight with Conor Benn, 26, but it was dramatically scrapped just days before.
A failed drug test by Benn saw the bout scrapped with the welterweight, who is now struggling to clear his name.
Meanwhile, Eubank have had to turn to former sparring partner Smith, 34, and neither can afford a loss.
Shalom said, “Both want to fight again in the summer.” This is a stepping stone to massive fights in 2023.
“But that’s what they both focus on. If Chris lost that it’s going to be really difficult to come back and so is Liam.”
