The video begins with a photo of Kim and her boyfriend Pete Davidson holding hands.

A caption above the photo reads, “When they stop dating black men and start dating white again.”

TikToker @thecindynoir comes up and says “Ok, but can we talk about this?”

“For years we have watched this family treat black culture as if it were a piece of clothing they could wear and remove,” she continued.

She dubbed them the “Karwackians,” adding, “The same hairstyles that we are objectified and oppressed for in this society are celebrated and uplifted and given more glory for having and wearing them.”

SHOW SUPPORT

Julia Fox, who dated Kanye briefly after he and Kim split, liked the video of the family being destroyed.

As they began their romance, Julia wrote in Interview Magazine that on their second date, Kanye surprised her with a room full of clothes.

While it was announced on February 14, 2022 that Kanye and Julia’s short-lived romance ended, they reportedly remain “good friends.”

Rumors began to speculate that the two were close to a split after Julia was seen deleting pictures of the two and liking Kim’s photos.

A fan on an online forum tried to explain that Fox likes the TikTok video, saying, “I’m sure Julia did BTS stuff with the Kardashians (Kim) after her and Ye’s relationship ended… I’m sure every girl Ye dates gets some kind of negative treatment from the Kardashians.”

There were mixed reactions to the TikTok video.

One reviewer wrote: “FINALLY someone who says it! How many times have I told people who support them that they only objectify cultures and races as “trendy”.

Another said, “SO many people doing Kardashian product transports, making them richer and keeping them relevant, they would literally end up happily sacrificing all of us.”

But others defended the family: “Kanye was sooo Kim’s stylist… that plays into it a little. No, I don’t agree, just a thought.”

“Why does it matter who they date? love who you wanna love I don’t think about it lol but I don’t care who someone wants to love,” wrote another.

A third wrote: “To be fair I don’t look at them but it just literally makes sense Kanye is a fashion artist it makes sense that he’s influencing her heritage style.”

Cultural Appropriation?

This isn’t the first time the Kardashians have been accused of cultural appropriation.

Khloe, 38, has had several unsavory outfits returned to haunt her.

One involved a mother-of-one who dressed like a “pimp” for a party in the mid-2000s.

She wore a light blue blazer, matching trousers, a white tank top, a top hat and several gold necklaces.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum stood surrounded by four black women — including her best friend Malika Haqq and actress Meagan Good.

In April, a 2016 photo of the Kardashians star resurfaced.

The Hulu star sported a traditional black hairstyle known as the Bantu knot style.

Khloe wore an Oakland Raiders t-shirt, knee-high boots and a choker with her nickname on it.

According to US Weekly, celebrity stylist Justine Marjan worked on her hairdo.

Khloe originally captioned the picture, “Bantu Babe.”

But it’s not just Khloe who has received criticism for her hair choices.

Her older sister Kim, 41, also angered fans in March 2020 after she rocked pigtails at Paris Fashion Week.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum shocked viewers by sporting her now-ex-husband Kanye West’s tight braids on the F/W 20/21 PFW show.

Kim’s younger half-siblings Kendall Jenner, 26, and Kylie Jenner, 24, didn’t seem to have learned from their big sisters’ mistakes as they were both also slammed for adopting black culture.

In August 2019, Kendall drew backlash when she was photographed with pigtails in Los Angeles.

Months later, Kylie garnered similar reactions when she debuted her hair in twists.

After Kylie posted a photo with the look, she was quick to remove the snap following the overwhelming barrage of negative comments.
