KANYE West announced that DONDA 2, the sequel to his 2021 album DONDA, will release next month.
But fans weren’t too convinced the rapper – known to have delayed his projects – would finish his deadline, and complained “we’re starting again.”
He captioned it: “DONDA2 COMING SOON 2 22 22 EXECUTIVE BY FUTURE PRODUCTION. “
On his Instagram Story, the rapper posted white screen with “February 22, 2022” written down – underneath he teases a lengthy introduction to an upcoming “spiritual makeover”.
It read: “According to the stars, the United States is finally having a spiritual makeover with the first return of Pluto. February 22, 2022. “
Kanye added an additional Instagram Story of the previous house image incorporating a face and a camera with red lasers firing from various directions.
The image is titled ‘Shooters Inside My Crib’, along with an advisory sticker, which theoretically makes it a single picture.
However, fans flooded twitter with their skepticism towards DONDA 2 as an eccentric perfectionist known for doing anything but releasing his album on time.
“I feel really bad for you if you think Kanye quit Donda 2 in February,” one Twitter user wrote.
A second was highlighted: “Kanye will never pass up an opportunity to engage her fans for months on end.”
“Here we go,” lamented a third.
The fourth has done some musical math on Kanye’s ten studio albums, with DONDA 2 potentially his 11th and first sequel:
“Kanye Album was a total of 1,845 days late, only 4 albums arrived on time – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus, Ye & Kids See Ghosts – 9 were late. Do it your way”
“Heard it actually came to 3/33/33,” said another.
Kanye’s Potential Single Art could be a reference to his ex Kim Kardashian beefing up the security at the $60 million home they once shared.
