Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid makes a hilarious confession after the team was selected for the game against Germany

ANDY Reid has revealed he’s dying to enjoy a bratwurst ahead of the Kansas Chiefs’ trip to Germany next season.

Following the success of their first game of the International Series in Germany earlier this season, the NFL announced this week that the Chiefs and New England Patriots will be the next teams to host there.

Following that announcement, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was asked by the media for his thoughts on their upcoming trip across the pond.

And while he admitted he hadn’t given it much thought given their current focus on the playoffs, Reid did offer a confession.

He said: “I’m looking forward to a bratwurst.”

Reid’s enthusiasm for the famous German delicacy comes as no surprise considering he’s known for his fondness for fast food — cheeseburgers in particular.

Indeed, after their 10-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Christmas Eve, he was presented with a gift by his team in the dressing room.

And of course, in that neatly wrapped box was a juicy looking cheeseburger for her beloved trainer.

After unwrapping his gift, Reid was visibly delighted and told the team, “Thank you. May you all get such a great gift. Cheeseburgers are heaven, baby.”

This wasn’t his only public admission of his love for the American staple.

After Kansas City’s Super Bowl LIV win, he announced he would celebrate by getting “the biggest cheeseburger you’ve ever seen.”

Exactly which city Reid can explore in search of top-notch bratwurst is not yet known.

The NFL confirmed in a statement that both Munich and Frankfurt will host games for the next four years.

But before Reid and company can reconsider their globetrotting adventures, they must first keep their eyes on the task at hand.

The Chiefs will host the Jacksonville Jaguars in the divisional round on Saturday, January 21.
