A YOGA teacher reportedly made a chilling threat before killing her love rival for having an affair with her boyfriend.
Kaitlin Armstrong is currently on the run after the death of professional cyclist Moriah Wilson.
Armstrong reportedly knew about Wilson because they both dated Strickland in the past.
Police say Wilson and Strickland had a brief affair when he took a break from Armstrong. But the two cyclists remained friends even after Strickland and Armstrong’s reconciliation and continued to spend time together.
Armstrong was reportedly unaware of their affair, which took place in October and November 2021, but found out in January 2022.
Police officers found Wilson unconscious and with multiple gunshot wounds in East Austin on May 11, according to US Marshals. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Strickland agreed to speak to police on May 12.
While he was there explaining the relationships he had with both women, police discovered that Armstrong had an “outstanding Class B warrant against her,” according to an affidavit from The Daily Beast.
Armstrong was then arrested and taken to the Austin Police Department Homicide Bureau.
Meanwhile, according to the affidavit, Armstrong was presented with information about Wilson’s death but remained “very calm” and “guarded” when speaking to detectives.
When she asked to end the interview, she left as the warrant she was being brought in for was not valid. She has not been seen since then.
A warrant for Armstrong’s death was issued May 17 by US Marshals.
On May 19, she was charged with first-degree murder, according to the affidavit.
‘SHAKE WITH ANGRY’
On May 14, police received an anonymous call with information about Armstrong.
The affidavit states that the person called told police she was with Armstrong when she found out about Strickland and Wilson’s affair.
“Armstrong had just discovered that Strickland was romantically involved with Wilson, although Armstrong and Strickland were still together,” the affidavit reads.
“The caller told Armstrong that he became angry and was shaking with anger.
“Armstrong told the caller that Armstrong was so angry that Armstrong wanted to kill Wilson.
Strickland claimed during his interview with police that he bought Armstrong a firearm around this time.
The affidavit states that Strickland disclosed information about his relationships with Wilson and Armstrong.
“Strickland guessed that while he and Wilson were dating, Armstrong called Wilson on the phone and told Wilson that she is the one who is dating Strickland,” the affidavit reads.
Strickland told Detective Spitler that he had to change Wilson’s name on his phone so Armstrong wouldn’t know who he was talking to while they continue their relationship.
Strickland admitted he had to change Wilson’s name on his phone because Armstrong had blocked Wilson’s number on Strickland’s phone.
“Strickland also shared that he had to delete text messages on his phone to prevent Armstrong from finding them.”
The affidavit also states that Strickland spoke “very highly” of Wilson during his interview with police.
Strickland is reportedly unaware of Kaitlin Armstrong’s whereabouts.
in one Explanation Speaking to local media, Strickland spoke of “the regret and torture” he felt [his] Proximity to this terrible crime.”
“I’m sorry and I just can’t understand this unfathomable tragedy,” he continued.
“To clarify previously reported facts, Moriah Wilson and I had a brief romantic relationship from late October to early November 2021 that spanned a week or so while Wilson was visiting Austin.
“At the time, she and I had both recently ended our relationship.
“She returned to her home in California and about a month later, Kaitlin Armstrong and I reconciled and resumed our relationship.
Strickland added that he often saw Wilson at cycling events, but claims they had a “platonic and professional” relationship.
“Moriah and I were both leaders in this lonely niche sport of cycling and I greatly admired her and considered her a close friend.”
