Kai Havertz scores a stunning late goal after escaping a controversial red card for elbowing

CHELSEA missed too late to beat Newcastle at Stamford Bridge when Kai Havertz scored a stunning 89th minute goal.
The Germany international scored home after a superb touch in the box to end the Magpies’ nine-match unbeaten run.

But he was still lucky to be on the pitch after escaping a red card for an elbow strike against Dan Burn.
Havertz received only one yellow card after hitting Burn on the head, and VAR didn’t think it deserved the red.
As a result, Newcastle had several chances and were denied a penalty in the second half after Jacob Murphy dropped in the box.
