Juventus rub Aaron Ramsey’s wounds with a message to Frankfurt after the Rangers star on loan missed the penalty

JUVENTUS have rubbed salt on Aaron Ramsey’s wounds with a message to Eintracht Frankfurt after their Europa League penalty shootout win.

Ramsey, on loan to Rangers from Juve, had saved his penalty shootout from Kevin Trapp to help Frankfurt win the final.

And Juve sent a message to the German squad, tweeting: “Congratulations to @Eintracht on winning the @EuropaLeague.”

But there was no message of sympathy for their player.

In fact, the club could reportedly seek to terminate Ramsey’s contract ONE YEAR earlier this summer.

Wales national team boss Rob Page has advised Ramsey to rest.

Ramsey was chosen by Page to represent Wales in the World Cup Playoff Final.

Wales will play either Ukraine or Scotland for a place at this year’s Winter World Cup in Qatar.

When asked if he still had faith in Ramsey, Page replied, “Absolutely, 100 percent.

“That happens to the best in the world. It happened to Gareth (Bale) at the Euros. Top players, they line up.

“I’m so proud of him for fighting his way up, he’s a world-class footballer.

“He had the courage and conviction to take a penalty.

“Top players recover from that, no problem. When it comes to penalties, I have no doubt he will take one.”

Ramsey has a chance to end this season on a high note as he is set to play the Scottish Cup final with Rangers against Hearts.
