Judge in Barry Morphew’s murder trial removes himself – CBS Denver
CHAFFE DISTRICT, Colo. (CBS4) – The judge overseeing the Barry Morphew murder trial removed himself from the case on Thursday.
Defense attorneys raised a conflict of interest question against Judge Patrick Murphy because of his relationship with the attorney who handled the case of Morphew’s alleged girlfriend, Shoshona Darke. Darke may be called as a witness in the trial.

Morphew is accused of murdering his wife – Suzanne – who disappeared in 2020. Her body has never been found.
Thursday’s ruling may delay the trial but CBS affiliate KKTV report hope to have a new judge appointed by the end of next week.
