JUDE BELLINGHAM made history today as Borussia Dortmund captain.
The Englishman had the armband for Dortmund’s visit to Cologne today at the age of 19.
In doing so, he reportedly became the youngest-ever Bundesliga captain, and also the youngest in club history.
Despite not being on the winning side today as Dortmund lost 3-2, Bellingham still managed an assist in the opener.
His appointment comes after usual captains Marco Reus and Mats Hummels were unavailable.
Bellingham has also been heavily linked with a move from the German club.
SunSport revealed last month how Bellingham was available for a £83million transfer if the money was paid in full upfront.
European heavyweights like Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Chelsea are all interested in his services.
United’s plans for next summer reportedly see both Bellingham and long-term target Frenkie de Jong joining Erik ten Hag’s project.
Meanwhile, Liverpool and Chelsea both want the England midfielder to become the main man in their own projects while they plan midfield overhauls.

However, Real Madrid are reportedly the preferred destination and could therefore see a move to the Spanish capital ahead of a move home.
Manchester City also have an interest in Bellingham, with Pep Guardiola’s side wanting the teenager as a long-term replacement for either Kevin De Bruyne or Ilkay Gundogan, who are both in their 30s.
