Joy Behar asks, “Why are you holding your chest?” to Whoopi Goldberg in a weird live moment

JOY Behar popped an intimate question to her co-star Whoopi Goldberg during an awkward on-air encounter.

But during Thursday’s episode, Joy, 80, called Whoopi, 67, for grabbing her chest during a segment.

The panel of presenters and audience then burst out laughing as the Sister Act star explained, “I’m keeping myself in check so I’m reading the story and not making a judgment as to whether this idiot is spending two million dollars a year with 30 doctors.” who are trying to get his 18 year old body back.”

The awkward encounter followed a series of on-screen arguments between the two longtime colleagues on the series.

Earlier this month, Whoopi and her co-hosts mocked Joy Behar’s outfit choice.

They claimed she looked like Beetlejuice and Cruella de Vil when she showed up on set in all black and white.

As all the women sat down at the desk, Whoopi tried not to laugh as she glanced over at Joy.

The 80-year-old wore black trousers and a black shirt with a black and white striped blazer.

“Joy,” Whoopi said as they both laughed.

“Bug Juice! Bug Juice! Bug Juice!” Sara Haines recited the famous line from the film.

“She likes to accentuate her waistline,” Sunny Hostin said.

“Didn’t you try to sell me sneakers?” asked Whoopi. “At Foot Locker.”

The moderator was referring to the black and white striped uniform worn by the employees in the shoe store.

“She did,” Sara said offscreen as Joy laughed.

“Yeah, I did,” Joy joked. “It’s like a soccer player because I have the shoulders for it.”

Joy’s jacket had pointed shoulders, like you’d see on a football player.

“I don’t know how anyone can see your shoulders through the stripes,” Sara said.

Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in at the end, “I was thinking about Cruella de Vil.”

just days before Joy admitted she panicked as she shared a traumatic story with their co-hosts.

Joy, speaking to guest Anna Kendrick on a recent episode of The View, told the actress that the pair have something in common.

“We both got stuck in an elevator. I hated it,” the host announced.

Concerned, Anna Joy asked for details: “When did this happen to you?”

Joy became visibly distraught as she began answering Anna.

Co-host Sara Haines reached out to rub Joy’s shoulders and said, “It’s okay, honey.”

“Just talk about it,” she told Joy when Anna asked if she was traumatized by the incident.

“I was traumatized,” Joy admitted. “I had a cell phone, what happened to you?”

Describing her experience of being trapped in an elevator, Anna explained that they ended up with a ladder to escape with and she “crawled out like Die Hard.”

Joy explained that unlike Anna, who was surrounded by people, she was “all” alone at the time.

She also mentioned that she felt “panic” during the situation since she was alone.
