JOY-ANNA Duggar has opened up about her heartbreaking miscarriage in an emotional new video honoring her lost daughter.

But amid the joy of delivering her lucky rainbow baby, 25-year-old Joy-Anna hasn’t forgotten the pain of her miscarriage in 2019.
The reality star and her husband were excited about their life together YouTube profile on Friday to release a video in which they discuss the loss of their baby girl, Annabelle, who was stillborn at 20 weeks old.
In a tearful moment captured on camera, the TV personality recalled the horrific experience of being in the hospital and having a devastating ultrasound scan.
Joy-Anna said she knew “immediately” from the look on the technician’s face that something was wrong.
“The whole behavior of her face just changed. In that moment I just knew. I knew something was wrong,” she explained, breaking down in tears.
“I remember my heart just sinking and I was like, ‘This can’t happen. This is supposed to be the happiest time of our lives, finding out the gender.’ We wanted to do a gender reveal.
She continued, “Anyway, she said, ‘There’s no heartbeat.’ In my head I thought, “Okay, check again, maybe the machine is broken.”
“She said they couldn’t find the heartbeat. So she took pictures of the baby and took measurements to see when she thought the baby had died and if there were any visible signs on the ultrasound that somehow showed what had happened.” .

“She couldn’t see anything, she said the baby looked perfect and there were no visible signs on the ultrasound to point her to the loss.”
Joy-Anna recalled leaving the appointment and heading to the car, where she “lost her mind.”
She began to “howl and cry” as the reality of the situation hit her.
SHOCKING LOSS
The TLC star previously spoke candidly about the devastating loss Instagram post shared shortly after the miscarriage.
Joy-Anna shared photos from the hospital taken on the day Annabelle was born in July 2019.
In the snaps, the mother-of-three held the stillborn baby in her arms alongside her husband Austin, 29, and her best friend Carlin.
The TV star cried as she said goodbye to her little one, whose feet were smaller than a quarter.
Joy-Anna captioned her post: “We only had her for 20 weeks. Life is fragile and precious. So thankful the Lord gave her to us for such a short time! She will be in our hearts forever!”
“Thank you all for your love and support! We can feel the prayers! Thanks, @carlinbates98 for coming to town to be there for me and did my hair and makeup for photos with our little girl!”
RAINBOW BABY
In October 2022, the 19 Kids & Counting graduate announced she was pregnant with another child, their rainbow baby, Gunner.
The couple gave birth to their healthy son in May and shared news about his childhood.
Joy-Anna has been candid about her struggle with losing weight after giving birth and her feelings about expanding her family even further.
