The British boxing regulator will launch an investigation into the scoring in Josh Taylor’s controversial title defense against Jack Catterall.
The Scot retained his lightweight title in Glasgow on Saturday night through a controversial decisive win over host Chorley.
Scorecards issued by experienced judges Ian John Lewis and Victor Laughlin have caused outrage in the boxing community, so much so that the BBOBC will be the pair to explain their scores in the match.
BBOBC general secretary Robert Smith told the Daily Telegraph: “We will look into it.
“There were some very close innings, it was a very close, very intense fight, and I asked for a report from the jury that we will be studying this week.
“Our judges are honest people and graded it as soon as they saw it. I was there and I think Catterall got it right.”
