Jana Duggar, the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar in “19 Kids and Counting’s,” has been charged with endangering the rights of a minor.
According to court documents filed with the Washington District Court in Arkansas and obtained by E! News Friday, December 10, 31-year-old “Counting On” alum was charged with a misdemeanor on September 9. Her attorney, Gregory F. Payne, pleaded not guilty on her behalf on Dec. September 23.
A citation from the Tontitown Police Department did not provide details on what led authorities to charge Jana, although the document says she was escorted out around 3:01 p.m. at her home in Springdale, Ark.
A court date has been scheduled for January 10, 2022.
E! News has reached out to Duggar’s family and Jana’s attorney for comment, but has not received a response.
News of Jana’s legal drama comes just a day after her brother, Josh Duggar, to be guilty including one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography in an Arkansas court. His lawyers told E! News they intend to seek an appeal.
He faces 20 years in prison for each count and a fine of up to $250,000 per count.
