Johnny Depp, Amber Heard Documentary Ordered at Discovery Plus

Discovery+ will take viewers inside the breakup of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship in a two-part documentary Johnny vs. Amber, our sister site Deadline report.

The first season will present the pair’s case from Depp’s point of view, while the second will examine events from Heard’s point of view. The document will include interviews with attorneys for both sides, as well as people close to Depp and Heard.

“Through tapes, home videos and text messages shown in court, these films give viewers rare and vital insight into a tragically wronged marriage, while simultaneously better understand the critically important issue of domestic violence,” executive producer Nick Hornby told Deadline.

* Jackson White (Mrs. Fletcher) had the male lead role in the Hulu drama Tell Me Lies, based on the novel by Carola Lovering, Deadline. Grace Van Patten (Nine Perfect Strangers) stars in the series about a tumultuous yet passionate relationship as it unfolds over the course of eight years.

* Starz placed an order BMF companion documentary series from executive producers Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Shan Nicholson.

* Two-time Academy Award winner, Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds) will make headlines Consultant, a Prime Video television series inspired by the 2015 novel by Bentley Little. The project has been described as “a comedic workplace thriller that explores the sinister relationship between bosses and employees, questioning how far we’ll go to get ahead and survive.”

*HBO Max has released a trailer for the competitive series Looking for Magic Mike, which premieres with all seven episodes on Thursday, December 16:

* Netflix released a trailer for Great British Baking Show: Holidays Season 4, premieres with all two episodes on Friday, December 3:
