John Gunter announced his plans to run for mayor of Cape Coral, about a year after being appointed mayor following the death of Joe Coviello.
“Cape Coral is one of the fastest growing cities not only in the State of Florida but in the entire country,” Gunter wrote in an email. “We need to prepare the city for this unprecedented growth with a clear vision for future generations.”
Gunter’s campaign will hold its launch event on Thursday, January 27, at the Palmetto-Pine Country Club at Court No. 9 1940 SW in Cape Coral.
