John Aylward died aged 75

ACTOR John Aylward has died aged 75.
He was known for having Dr. Playing Donald Anspaugh in ER and Barry Goodwin in The West Wing.

According to Deadline, Aylward died Monday at his Seattle home.
His wife, Mary Fields, confirmed the news, and his family said he was in deteriorating health.
“I was shocked. He was a wonderful actor and a phenomenal person,” his longtime agent Mitchell Stubbs told Deadline.
“He was a dream client, a friend, and a dream person.”


Aylward had a career that spanned four decades, including dozens of television roles.
He joined ER in its third season and is perhaps best remembered for his role in the iconic series.
In the West Wing, Aylward played NC Chairman Barry Goodwin, an advisor to President Matt Santos.
The actor has also appeared in 3rd Rock From the Sun, Ally McBeal and The X-Files, among others.
He was last seen on Shameless and Yellowstone.
Aylward’s talent agency published a tribute to him on Thursday.
“Received a devastating phone call from Mary Fields, wife of John Aylward,” he said Explanation. This kind man and wonderful actor has left us. Very grateful to have known and worked with you, sir. REST IN PEACE”
A specific cause of death was not released.
