Undefeated as a pro and with some bold names on his resume, Joyce is still looking for his first shot at the world title.
And he’ll wait a little longer when he meets all-action fighter Zhang at the Copper Box in London.

With Zhang Joyce in the way, the Putney man needs to be turned on if he wants to fight for his first world title as a pro.

what was said
Joyce said: “He’s a big guy. But I’m a big guy. Two big guys will collide and it will be a great fight.
“I could have waited and had an easier fight, but I was like, ‘Why not take a test and stay ready?’
“He’s a top fighter… and that puts me well on Usyk or Fury which I’m hoping for – possibly a big summer fight.”
While Zhang added, “I don’t think a fighter’s chin can be hard enough to handle a perfectly timed punch.
“To be the best, you have to beat the best. It’s part of the dream of becoming a world champion.
“I never run away from a challenge when an opportunity presents itself.”
