Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker Story on Tape: Where a Huge Heavyweight Match is Won and Lost

JOE JOYCE and Joseph Parker clash at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday.
The pair have remained patient for the competition as the fight looked set to take place in the summer before contract talks were called off.

Joyce, 36, is fresh from his win over Christian Hammer in July and is looking to match his unbeaten 14-0 record.
Parker has not fought since last December when he defeated Derek Chisora by unanimous decision.
In fact, Joyce is the first new opponent for the Kiwi since he boxed Junior Fa in February 2021, having also fought Chisora in May of that year.
Parker has won his last six fights after back-to-back losses to Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.

Aiming to become the third British winner over Parker, Joyce has a size and range advantage over the 30-year-old.
He also possesses greater knockout power, with 93 percent of his wins coming from KOs compared to Parker’s 66 percent.
But the Juggernaut is under a lot of pressure as a win for either fighter would set up a WBO world heavyweight title fight against Oleksandr Usyk.
It’s the biggest contest of Joyce’s career since missing out on a super heavyweight gold medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
In the run-up to the fight, Joyce has accused Parker of trying to avoid him, referring to the previous breakdown in talks.
The Londoner said: “This fight has been a long time coming.
“Parker realized he had nowhere else to go and ended up taking on this fight. #1 vs. #2.
“The winner keeps fighting for the world title! It’s going to be a smashing fight and you’ll see why he tried so hard to avoid me!”
Parker hit back and vowed to show the best he has to offer, saying: “On Saturday 24 September the fans in Manchester will see the best of me.
“And Joe Joyce will see exactly why I’ll be world heavyweight champion again with BOXXER.

“I’m working hard with my coach Andy Lee, everything is going smoothly and I feel really great.
“I’ve been patiently waiting for this fight to begin, and now let me tell you that the Juggernaut’s journey ends right here. He has nowhere to walk.”
